Biography

British Photographer, Nick Veasey is the man with X-Ray vision. Using X-Ray technology, transforms mundane objects by exposing the layers that make up reality.

Born in London in 1962, Nick Veasey, photographs the innermost truth of reality. Picking from a range of subjects, Veasey transforms these objects through radiographic imaging equipment.

 

Carving a unique style within the art world, Veasey does not create or transform things, he exposes something that always existed, objects we think we know but we don’t.

 

With social media, the world has become obsessed with "image'. Veasey counteracts the superficiality and artifice of the modern age by laying bare what's inside to the viewer. His art becomes the discovery of what things are truly really made of. The inner life of objects and organisms is revealed, the surface replaced with transparency, the inside becomes the outside – what is left is the form the aesthetics of form the inner beauty.

 

The photographic metaphors span a variety of contextual issues, ranging from surveillance and the use of x-ray technology for security to uncovering the invisible.

 

Nick Veasey has exhibited in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and fine art galleries the world over. The ethereal and fascinating works have collected a host of International awards.
