    Step inside the newly opened Palm Beach gallery and encounter the world of Nemo Jantzen, an artist who turns memory and media into art that feels almost cinematic.

     

    Nemo's celebrated Domes series transforms thousands of tiny photographs into portraits sealed beneath glass spheres. Each dome is meticulously composed, merging precision with illusion to create a dialogue between popular culture, personal identity, and the collective imagination. What appears at first glance as a striking portrait slowly unravels into countless fragments of imagery.     Eric Alfaro in Palm Beach

    On view in Palm Beach are three paintings by Cuban artist Eric Alfaro. Awakening from Alfaro’s Wildflower Series mark Alfaro’s latest direction, an almost florigieum painting where different flora species bloom from the canvas. Repeatedly picturing Coreopsis, Florida’s state wildflower, the painting is an ode to the Florida landscape. 

     

    Rendered in Alfaro’s signature style, the subjectmatter is filled with color and texture. Using layers of paint applied with different spatulas and brushes, Alfaro achieves a stunning sense of depth and dimensionality. The results are tactile, immersive, and strikingly lifelike. Hanakotoba and Lotus Water Garden further demonstrate why Alfaro is quickly gaining reputation as the Modern-Day Monet; transforming oil paint with his spatula into unforgettable imagery.
