Stikki Peaches

Biography

Contemporary street artist, Stikki Peaches prefers to remain anonymous, letting his art speak for itself. His tagline, "What if Art Ruled the World?" encapsulates his vision—imagining a world where artistic expression transcends societal divisions, fostering creativity and unity.

Who is Stikki Peaches?

Born in Montreal, Stikki Peaches is an anonymous street artist known for his signature portraiture style. His collage-inspired works blend pop culture, street art, with social commentary—what he calls "beautifully controlled chaos." In each work, the Canadian artist fuses nostalgic references with punk aesthetics, graffiti, and various emblems, resulting in uniquely layered, mixed-media artworks.

With each piece, the Montreal-based artist begins with a portrait of a cultural icon—music legends, Hollywood stars, supermodels, and athletes—before transforming these subjects through intricate layering, unexpected juxtapositions, and symbolism drawn from deep research. Stikki Peaches weaves tattoos, hand-painted patterns, and personal elements into his works, often embedding hidden messages that resonate both with him and his collectors. His commission-based works invite clients to provide meaningful names, dates, or references, ensuring a personal touch.

Beyond paint and paper, Stikki Peaches incorporates clay-based tile work into his pieces—deconstructed and reconstructed to resemble a decaying wall that frames his figures. Inspired by a trip to Portugal, each tile is cooked at 900 degrees to withstand the distressing process before being fixed to the canvas with industrial glue. The result, is a physicality that photographs fail to capture—seeing them in person reveals an entirely new dimension.

Initially, Stikki Peaches had no plans to become an artist. Yet, after his large-scale wheat-paste posters around Montreal, New York, and Toronto—often spanning eight feet tall—quickly gained attention, it launched his career. His street murals, covered by street art blogs, caught the eyes of collectors. What started as a personal outlet soon evolved into commissions, then gallery representation, and finally, a full-fledged career.

Stikki Peaches has become a leading figure in contemporary urban art, with murals spanning major cities including Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles, and London. His work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and art fairs such as Art Basel Miami, and his collectors include high-profile individuals like Lady Gaga. With a distinct visual language and an ability to bridge fine art and street culture, his pieces are highly sought after, making them not just artworks but investments in a unique artistic vision.
