Eric Alfaro is a painter whose work blends Modern Impressionism with Expressionism, creating a distinctive style that explores dimensionality and transience through a gestural, painterly approach. His technical mastery and keen insight capture the essence of gesture, creating works that, while figurative, retain a profound sense of space and depth.

Merging classical training with contemporary techniques, Alfaro applies both oil and acrylic on canvas to depict subjects such as people, fish, and nature. Santos, born Jorge Luis Santos in Quivicán, Cuba, is an artist celebrated for his innovative exploration of abstract art, pushing the boundaries of traditional mediums and technique over the past two decades. Renowned for his physical experimentation with materials, Santos incorporates acrylic, oil, mixed media, found objects, iron, and wood to create works that are visceral, monumental, and emotionally resonant.

Santos’s abstract style defies the figurative traditions of Cuban art, reflecting his commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary perspectives of art. Employing unconventional tools like mops or even the soles of shoes, he imbues his work with a raw intensity while maintaining intentionality and depth. 

His works are included in prominent collections such as the Pérez Art Museum Miami and the Museum of Cuban Art Vienna, solidifying his legacy as a leading voice in contemporary abstraction.
