The New Year is here, and with it, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an extraordinary year at Carousel Fine Art.

Throughout the year, our gallery has celebrated the dynamic artistic styles defining 2024, including street art, appropriation art, pop art, and dimensional art—each reflecting the ever-changing dialogue of the contemporary art world.

This year, Cayla Birk expanded her It’s in the Cards series with new works that debuted during Miami Art Week 2024. By juxtaposing themes of chance with the pursuit of luxury acquisitions, Birk captures the shifting narratives of 2024’s art landscape.

We also welcomed new works by Randall Harrington and Ken Kelleher, whose practices embody key trends shaping the art world today. Harrington’s inventive sculpture challenge perceptions of technology and culture through playful yet critical lenses. Kelleher’s monumental installations fuse classical influences with pop art aesthetics, exploring the evolving relationship between art, form, and environment in a way that resonates deeply with 2024’s art movements.

"The Gun Magnet" by Randall Harrington

Randall Harrington is a multidisciplinary artist known for his provocative and immersive works of art that explore the intersections of history, technology, and American culture. His works often draw on personal experiences, social commentary, and a fascination with militaristic design.

A centerpiece for his visual commentary are his interpretations of post-war American culture. Reflecting on the global situation fraught with senseless gun violence, wars, and social conformity, Harrington’s sculptural and visual imagery were curated to provoke viewers into a contemplative state far beyond what meets the eye. With “The Gun Magnet," Harrington’s intention is quite clear, he is provoking the viewer into a state of introspection, a state of disillusionment with society and the future.

Anchorball Arrives to Atlanta

Unveiled during Miami Art Week, Ken Kelleher’s “Ghost Mawsie” series has landed in Buckhead Village! Known for creating life size sculptures, Kelleher’s playful works merge elements of pop art and contemporary influences to create sculptures that appear familiar, yet are simultaneously strange.

Within the "Ghost Mawse" sculptural series, Kelleher presents a narrative of undead ghost heroes. Through the form of spectral beings, Kelleher ensures each haunting detail, emphasizing the ethereal, yet slightly worn aspects of their ghostly forms. The "Ghost Mawse" Collection has been installed in various landscapes, symbolizing their timeless journey between worlds.
