Rooted in Love
A Tree Grows
Inspired by recent cherry blossom viewings in Japan and a monumental painting project for a family farm, John Westbay's recent series, “Rooted in Love,” represents both a retrospective of the artist's career and a portent of new trajectories.

Evolving from the simple form of his iconic heart figures, in his new series Westbay paints his iconography in new settings with more geometrical designs and floral landscapes. Westbay explores moments from life, human emotions, and the diversity of existence through his new series.
THE ARTISTRY OF JOHN WESTBAY

Identified by his recognizable LOVE logo, John Westbay has made a name for himself as an emerging contemporary artist. Currently working with bright palettes of acrylic paint on canvas in his Brooklyn studio, Westbay's artistrey seems to manifest the visions of his own colorful imagination.

Throughout Westbay's canvases, each brushstroke paints a story, beckoning the observer to immerse themselves in the intricacies of color, form, and sentiment. Westby's artistic language takes pop art, street art, and makes it his own.
