(DALLAS-MIAMI) March 9, 2023– Markowicz Fine Art and Carousel Fine Art are pleased to announce an exciting new exhibition with the multidisciplinary artist Neill Wright during his US Tour.
“Where The Light Gets In” features abstract and representational elements that coexist in an unorthodox harmony. “I intended to create a collision of worlds on the canvas. The first being digital, transient, manipulated and geographically impossible which collapses space and distance, hinting at volatility and chaos. The second world is beautiful, energetic and marked by abstraction, a place in which to get lost.” - Neill Wright

About The artist
Neill Wright is a multidisciplinary artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He explores various mediums, such as sculpture, printmaking and painting as modes of expression, drawing inspiration from a variety of sources within his lived experience. The bold, multi-layered and colorful work speaks to a curiosity about and affection for the natural world while the geographically impossible mashups hint at the chaos of everyday life. Abstract and representational elements co-exist in a seductive yet menacing way suggestive of both the exultation and terror present in the unknown and unexplored.
The opening reception for Neill Wright’s “Where The Light Gets In” will take place at Markowicz Fine Art in Dallas on Thursday, March 9th, and then in Miami a week later on Thursday, March 16th at Carousel Fine Art. Both exhibits will run through April 11th, 2023.
