Who is Craig Alan?

Born in 1971 in San Bernardino, California, and raised in the Atlanta area, artist Craig Alan is known for his ability to transform iconic figures and scenes through painting hundreds of finely detailed miniature human forms.

 

Alan’s artworks feature iconic figures and scenes composed of hundreds of detailed miniature human forms. His unique style, epitomized in his widely known "Populus" series, transforms iconic figures—such as Marilyn Monroe, Freddie Mercury, Gandhi, and Salvador Dalí—through the compositions of hundreds of miniature human forms.

 

Craig Alan’s work has been showcased in galleries across the U.S., Europe, and Canada

and has exhibited at prestigious art fairs such as Scope, Context Art Miami, and the Palm Beach Show. Alan’s "Populus" works have captivated audiences, with pieces like his "Populus Nelson Mandela" going viral.
