Artist Hunt Slonem has garnered global acclaim for his painted depictions of butterflies, tropical birds, and breathtaking large-scale sculptures. Slonem's art is an embracement of the beauty of nature, which adds a nurturing, spiritual effect to his works.

Throughout this career, Hunt Slonem has established a unique style where he pushes simple forms against flat spaces of color, allowing his subjects to contrast quite starkly against the picture plane. The combination of expressive and textural brushstrokes is reminiscent of the German Expressionism movement and artists such as Ernst Ludwig and Henry Geldzahler, a mentor of Hunt Slonem.

From childhood adventures in Hawaii, California, and Connecticut to studying abroad in Nicaragua and Mexico, Hunt Slonem's connection to tropical landscapes shapes his unique artistic vision.

Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, artist Hunt Slonem is continuing to stamp a permanent mark in contemporary art.
