When creating his works, first, Bouteiller takes digital photographs and transposes them onto aluminum substrates. After combining collages, drawings, tags, and watercolors, Bouteiller finishes his canvases with a layer of resin, resulting in a luminous translucence.
Educated in Fine Arts and Philosophy in both Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence, Bouteiller's artistic journey began with his fascination of urban landscapes. Architectural monuments from cities such as New York, Shanghai, Paris, and Marseilles serve as the foundation upon which Bouteiller overlays symbolic interventions—the mark of a tag, the cryptic language of signage, or the presence of human figures.
Artist Cédric Bouteiller has exhibited at a series of international exhibitions, both solo and collective, including at the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles, the Artemisia Gallery in New York, and the Art-Addict Gallery in Biarritz, France.
