Carousel Fine Art’s Palm Beach Show Booth presents an artist spotlight on Contemporary
artists Eric Alfaro, Rodrigo Franzao, Hunt Slonem, Caroline Dechamby, Marco Grassi, and Larisa Safaryan. Through distinct, yet converging styles and methods, these artists evoke a unique sense of tranquility that draws viewers into their different worlds.
Cuban artist Eric Alfaro has made shockwaves in Contemporary Art by harkening back to the 20th century style Impressionism. With a modern twist, Alfaro’s subjects are completed with soft colors, impasto technique, and perfectly balanced compositions. The effect, are extremely visceral works that are somehow delicate in form, leaving viewers with tranquil scenes.
Hunt Slonem is the Neo-Expressionist artist of the 21st century. Throughout recent decades, the American artist has made headlines for his recognizable subject matter: bunnies, butterflies, and birds. Slonem combines simple forms with soft color palates, creating works that are both whimsical and peaceful though their simplicity.
Brazilian artist, Rodrigo Franzao emphasizes the delicate interplay of light, shadow, color, and texture, by meticulously folding and layering paper strips on canvas. This approach infuses his art with a sense of movement, but also evokes the world’s cyclical nature. In turn, Franzao’s abstractions of nature’s inherent harmony, convey a sense of peace and serenity.
